The Princeton Public Library is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the City Council in accordance with Article 143 of the Princeton City Code. The Library Board of Directors has the power to enact authority and provide governance and regulations that pertain to the staff, patrons, and policies of the Princeton Public Library.
The Board, with the aid of the City Manager, review the policies and procedures on an annual basis and amend the policies at any time that it may seem necessary for the daily function of the library.
The Library Director, City Manager, and Board of Directors welcome constructive criticism and strive to provide a valuable and comfortable library experience for members of the community. Any complaints or concerns should be resolved through the proper channels and in the following order:
- Staff
- Director
- Board of Directors
- City Managers
We value our patrons and aim to provide the best experience at the library.
A schedule of Library Board meetings is posted on the public bulletin board located at the library or you may call the library to inquire.
If you wish to make a public input at the Library Board of Directors Meeting, you must relay your desire and agenda to the Library Director 5 days prior to the meeting date.
A copy of the meeting agenda and minutes is available upon request.
