About Us

Mission Statement

The Princeton Public Library serves as an information resource for the community. We strives to provide resources and programs that assist with educational and recreational needs, cultural interests, and diversity in order to enrich the lives of patrons.

Established in 1914, the Princeton Public Library has been proudly serving the community of Princeton, West Virginia and the surrounding areas. On August 28, 2010 the library was relocated into the former Princeton United States Post Office, erected in 1935. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior in July 2020.

We currently house over 57,000 items in our collection including a variety of books for all ages, movies, board games, audio books, sporting and hobby kits, and archival materials. In addition to this, we also provide Ebooks, Audiobooks, and Emagazines that can be accessed through the Libby app. All of these resources are maintained by a dedicated team of library personal who are here to assist you with any of your reference questions.
